 Glyptotek Exhibition 50 X 70cm click poster for larger view | In October 1994 Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek hosted an exhibition of all the known photographs by Mary Willumsen, arranged by Northern Light Gallery. This was the first time since the 1920s, when Mary's work was originally sold in the kiosks of Copenhagen, that her work was assembled again. The responce of the Danish public was overwhelmingly positive. Attendance figures and press coverage exceeded all expectations. The girl shown represented the style of dress of the west-coast island of Manø, but her haunting gaze and timeless beauty captivate our imagination. $25.00 postage paid |
